This is what we live for.Fluor and Energy Materials, an Orbia business, is looking for a Technical Manager – Medical Devices and Gases to be based in the UK.Remote role with regular travel to the Heath, Runcorn and Thornton Science Park offices in the UK.Main PurposeLead the customer technical support activity for Pharma regulated propellants used in complex medical device application using detailed knowledge of Fluor and Energy Materials products and interaction of products, systems, processes and activities with customers finished products including technical, quality, stability and other GMP requirements.To use industry networking, relationships and understanding to influence business strategy and planning relating to product lifecycles, competing technologies and technical developments.Main Responsibilities

  • To Maintain and develop Fluor and Energy Materials expertise in respiratory drug delivery technology to support customers and inform Fluor and Energy Materials product and business strategy.
  • To support and enable customer adoption and use of Fluor and Energy Materials medical propellant portfolio through problem solving, confidence building and relationship management with key decision makers in Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) production companies.
  • To represent the company at regional and global conferences and trade shows.
  • To ensure that marketing literature and other communication processes are up to date and correct and work with the marketing department to develop and exploit new materials when possible.
  • Leading customer technical interactions for the medical propellant portfolio.
  • Building positive relationships with key MDI customers in all regions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Master’s Degree/PhD in a related field.

Knowledge/ Experience Required

  • A technical background in MDIs or other Pharma devices.
  • Minimum of 3 years of GMP and Pharma business processes.
  • Management in regulated companies within cGMP environment(s).
  • Ability to lead and motivate a technical customer service team.
  • Knowledge of all aspects handling of pressurized gases.
  • Application and significance of propellant to MDI devices.
  • Detailed understanding of MDI production technologies.
  • Technical Problem solving.
  • Broad understanding of QC, QA, technical and engineering in MDI.
  • Planning and organizing skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
