We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Technical Training Manager who can apply their knowledge and experience to develop a skilled cohort of RTPs to support development of this technical infrastructure.This position will get exposure to the latest technologies in cloud computing, cyber-security and data science, all of which are highly sought after skills across all sectors. In addition, this role will be able to influence the direction of careers through the transfer of knowledge and mentorship of other RTPs on the programme.The successful candidate will have a passion for technology and developing individuals and teams working in either technical, or academic research, combined with a genuine enthusiasm to help create a clear development framework for RTPs. The post is based at the University of Manchester in the Centre for Health Informatics, and will work closely with our collaborating partners to help deliver this important programme of work.Our Team: The Centre for Health InformaticsThe Centre for Health Informatics (CHI) established in 2012 has an international reputation for a broad portfolio of digital health research and education. It is the one of the largest groups in the UK, led by Professor Georgina Moulton, with the core team comprising five Professors, seven academics, and two digital research software engineers and platform specialists. Our research includes citizen-driven health (e.g., REMORA), clinical prediction modelling (e.g, EPSRC AI Hub), learning health systems (e.g., NIHR-funded BRIT2), and health informatics/data science pedagogy. It is translational research that impacts on healthcare by bringing together inter-disciplinary teams, including the public, for the greater benefit of society. The training delivered by CHI is led by this research, thus building skills capacity and a workforce that can address these important healthcare challenges.What you will get in return:
