In addition to lab courses in core Industrial Systems Engineering (ISE) topics (ENIN 350/ENIN 355/ENIN 253/ENIN 453), the successful candidate will be required to conduct lab courses in the Process Engineering (ENIN 455/ ENIN 456/ ENIN 457) and General Engineering (ENGG 330) areas. The successful candidate will need to become familiar with common unit operations such as reactors (batch, CSTR, plug, etc.), heat exchangers, pumps, absorption and distillation columns, evaporators, fuel cell, heat-pump, and refrigeration unit. Preference will be given to individuals with at least 2 years’ experience in industry or a laboratory setting and those with previous teaching experience and who are familiar with the software packages implemented in ISE such as Aspen Plus, ProMax, Comsol Multiphysics, Ansys, Minitab, MATLAB, and design modeling package. The successful candidate will be familiar with the function and operation of a wide range of process and chemical equipment and will have demonstrated experience in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment with superior verbal and written communications skills. The successful candidate will be required to show a strong commitment to teaching and developing new labs as well as Faculty and university service during their appointment.

Applicants will have one of the following:
B.A.Sc. or equivalent in Process engineering or Industrial Systems engineering or a closely related area. The candidate will also have the appropriate credentials for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Saskatchewan.
• Diploma of Applied Science/Technology in Process engineering or Industrial Systems engineering or a closely related area. The candidate will also have the appropriate credentials for registration as an Applied Science Technologist in Saskatchewan. Applied Science Technologists are expected to work toward registration with APEGS as an Engineering Licensee during the course of their employment.
