Territory Sales EngineerAnalytical InstrumentationMaterials CharacterisationGreater London & South East£45K + £10K Bonus (Earnings £55K) + Car + Excellent Benefits PackageAn excellent opportunity for a Sales Engineer with a background in selling high value laboratory instrumentation to join a global market-leading manufacturer of materials science based laboratory equipment, including X-ray and density analysers, offering excellent training and ongoing career developmentThe Company – Territory Sales Engineer, Analytical InstrumentationMy client is a leader in the supply of sophisticated laboratory based instrumentation, used in a wide range of applications, including instrumentation used in materials science and materials characterisation, density analysers and particle size anaiysers.Their systems are trusted by scientific professionals to deliver ‘best in class’ product solutions across their key markets, which include a broad range of manufacturers’, research institutions and universities.This organisation operates at the forefront of technology and innovation, with an unrelenting commitment to research and development, world class manufacturing facilities, and the recruitment of good people central to their future success.The Role – Territory Sales Engineer, Analytical InstrumentationFollowing expansion, they seek to recruit a customer-focused Territory Sales Engineer, responsible for sales across their materials characterisation product range.Full responsibilities include:
- Management of existing customers and generation of new accounts through prospecting, lead generation and follow up.
- Effective territory management with direct responsibility for sales projects and negotiations.
- Support the development of customer applications.
- Participation at conferences and exhibitions.
- Support the development of marketing communications with customers.
- Visiting customer sites on a regular basis to give sales presentations, perform instrument demonstrations and train customers on the correct use of their equipment.
Your Background – Territory Sales Engineer, Analytical InstrumentationTo be considered for this exciting role, you will ideally be able to demonstrate a solid track record selling laboratory based instrumentation, as well as the following:
- Suitable candidates should hold a degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Physics or related discipline.
- At least two years’ experience and demonstrable success in selling analytical instruments into a wide range of industries including pharmaceutical, food and beverage, petro/chemical and academia.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with laboratory managers, PhD level scientists and technicians
- Availability to travel throughout the defined territory, the UK and occasional overseas visits for training and business meetings.
- Located in the South East of England with easy access to the main road network and holding a full UK driving licence
