The Great Trossachs Forest Project Coordinator

Candidates are likely to have experience of partnership working, delivering projects, and
working with external funders; they will have good interpersonal, administrative and
communication skills, and be an effective facilitator, enabling project partners to collaborate
on the delivery of a long-term vision for nature restoration.

Job Title: Project Coordinator – The Great Trossachs Forest
This role can be full-time or part-time to suit the needs of the successful

Background
The Great Trossachs Forest (TGTF) is a major conservation project set in the heart of Loch
Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. The project is a working partnership of: Forestry and
Land Scotland, RSPB, The Woodland Trust Scotland and Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National
Park Authority. It was awarded NNR status in 2015 and serves as an accessible exemplar of a
landscape-scale biodiversity partnership delivering multiple benefits, with enormous potential
for further nature restoration, visitor engagement, education, and carbon sequestration.
Loch Lomond and The Trossachs Countryside Trust is a registered Scottish charity. The Trust is
working to address the biodiversity and climate emergencies and enable more sustainable,
healthy, and active communities. We deliver impactful ecological change through nature conservation partnerships
and impactful physical, social and mental wellbeing through our health walk programme, Walk in the Park and supporting active travel within our communities. The Trust is hosting this role;
the post holder will benefit from close working with the TGTF partners and from being embedded
in the Trust’s Nature Restoration team.
Job purpose
Working in close partnership with Forestry and Land Scotland, RSPB, The Woodland Trust
Scotland, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park Authority, local land managers, and a
range of public, private, and voluntary sector organisations, this role will involve
facilitating and supporting the project partnership, developing funding applications, and
coordinating a range of projects across The Great Trossachs Forest National Nature Reserve
(NNR) to maximise the benefits of the partnership for biodiversity, climate, and visitor
access.
Key responsibilities and tasks
Reporting Arrangements
The post holder will sit within the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs Countryside Trust’s Nature
Restoration team, reporting to the Project Development Manager. The post holder will also be
required to report to members of The Great Trossachs Forest Steering Group and other key
funders as necessary.
