About the Project
GTA funded PhD studentship in Computing
Highlights
- high-fidelity 3d hand reconstruction
- cutting-edge AI-based solutions
- hand-object/hand-hand interactions
Project
With the rapid development of virtual and augmented reality devices and technologies, there is a growing focus in the research community on achieving high-fidelity reconstructions of humans or specific human body parts. Among these, human hands play a key role as the primary interface for interactions between humans and the digital world. The ability to create realistic animatable human hands holds great significance, with wide ranging applications in human computer interaction and entertainment.
This project aims to develop cutting-edge AI-based solutions for estimating the 3D hand pose, shape, and appearance from sequences of images capturing hand-object/hand-hand interactions.
