Trainee Accounting Technician required. My client is a Top 50+50 accountancy practice based across Devon and Somerset. They have a number of offices based in the South West of England and due to recent expansion are seeking a Trainee Accounting Technician, either brand new or part AAT qualified, to join their Tiverton office on a permanent basis.This is a great opportunity to begin your career in accountancy with an incredibly friendly and welcoming company.Trainee Accounting Technician Position Overview

• Support the rest of the team in providing a range of accounting and taxation services to our clients
• Prepare financial information, reports and returns for a wide range of clients, both individuals and businesses
• Use computer software to record financial transactions
• Prepare and provide personal and company tax computations, regular VAT returns and bookkeeping services
• Information gather to analyse and report information about income and expenditure to support decision making, planning and control

The successful candidate will undertake both practical and theoretical training whilst studying for your AAT qualification under an apprenticeship agreement. The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is a professional qualification which can help you to achieve a rewarding career in accountancy.Trainee Accounting Technician Position Requirements

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to work well within a team and take your own initiative
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven accuracy and an eye for detail
• A positive and friendly attitude
• Highly organised individual, with the ability to multi-task

As the role requires the ability to study and pass formal exams, we would look for a strong track record in obtaining qualifications often indicated by strong results in GCSE’s, A-levels (or equivalent), however other academic history will also be considered.Trainee Accounting Technician Position Remuneration

• £20,000-£25,000 starting salary
