What we are looking for:

We are looking for a Trainee Consultant to work with and complement our Team. The role has a strong communications-facing role, and entails daily monitoring of a range of issues in health (EU & Global).

Responsibilities:

  • Daily media monitoring of health topics, including COVID-19, Universal Health Coverage, SDGs, NCDs, NTDs, antimicrobial resistance, etc.;
  • Drafting of social media messages and creation of accompanying visuals assets;
  • Supporting development of social media strategies and analytics;
  • Drafting content for articles and newsletters;
  • Managing database of health media and support with organizing press conferences and events;
  • Assisting with project management (drafting meeting minutes, updating timelines);
  • Assisting with digital marketing communications content and assets creation.

 

Qualifications

Essential:

  • EU national or work permit holder;
  • Perfect command of English; additional language skills an asset;
  • Strong planning skills;
  • Creativity and eagerness to explore new means of communication;
  • Passion for current developments in health policy;
  • Strong presentation skills – ability to present information in a clear and visually appealing way;
  • Advanced knowledge of several social media channels;
  • Advanced research and writing skills, including the ability to summarise issues quickly and accurately;
  • Ability to work in a team, whilst at the same time carrying out own tasks independently and to agreed deadlines;
  • Flexibility, enthusiasm, ability to work under tight deadlines in an international environment;
  • Proficient with IT and new media tools;
  • Passion for current developments in health affecting the innovation, patient groups and health professionals.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of UN system and in particular WHO, WIPO, WTO or the EU institutions and legislative processes;
  • Previous experience in a communications and/or social media capacity;
  • Demonstrated experience with communications and advocacy on digital media platforms is a big plus – organising social media campaigns, community engagement;
  • Experience with working with media and drafting opinion articles;
  • Design skills.
