Training and Certification Advisor

The Training & Certification Advisor supports the Training & Certification Manager in various tasks related to training coordination, qualification tracking, scheduling, and documentation. This role coordinates attendance in training classes, modifies schedules for training purposes, maintains qualification tracking systems, advises internal departments and CATSA of training schedule plans, files training documents, and assists with internal and external audits of training documentation.Key Responsibilities:Liaise with the training delivery teams to plan the occurrence of monthly and annual training classes.Collaborate with base General Managers and Resources Teams to identify qualification deficiencies and training requirements.Coordinate the attendance of Screening Officers in each training class.Modify Screening Officers’ schedules to reflect training attendance.Coordinate the completion of the Training Representatives’ schedule.Assist the Training and Certification Manager with maintaining the integrity of qualification and certification tracking systems.Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of training completion, certifications, and qualifications.Monitor qualification deficiencies and work with relevant teams to address training needs.Advise internal departments and CATSA of training schedule plans as required, ensuring timely and effective communication.Provide regular reports to the Training and Certification Manager on training attendance, scheduling, and any issues or concerns.File training documents, ensuring all paperwork meets organizational standards.Maintain organized and secure records of training documentation and certifications.Assist with internal and external audits related to training and certification processes.Collaborate with auditors and provide necessary documentation and information as requested.EducationPost Secondary diploma or degree or equivalent work experience.A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the aviation or security industry.A minimum of 2 years of experience in a training and curriculum development role.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExceptional ability to communicate with client and colleagues.Demonstrated ability to develop and implement action plans that achieve objectives.Experience and track record leading, motivating, and coaching people.Strong commitment to teamwork.Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations.Requires minimal direction to complete more complex tasks; completes routine tasks with little or no supervision.Intimate understanding of the aviation security screening industry.Understanding of administrative processes related to business practices (e.g., payroll, billing, hiring, etc.)CompetenciesTeam Building and Communication: must be able to support the development of a healthy internal culture that retains vital employees and holds individuals accountable to company or regulatory standards. Manage group processes during any presentation and reflects agility to meet the audience requirements.Working ConditionsPhysical requirements include but are not limited to – standing, lifting, sitting for prolonged periods, extensive use of a computer/electronic device.Ability to mentally focus and concentrate for prolonged periods.Ability to facilitate in person sessions that requires standing, sitting, walking, speaking, and directing participation of small (3 to 4 people) to large (20 to 50 people) groups during regular business hours over multiple days.Exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.Work near others. Will share the same workspace and work with people from varying organizational levels, divisions, departments and geographical locations.Demonstrated ability to work remotely with little to no supervision.May need to work or travel outside of regular work hours.Overtime can be controlled but may be required dependent on program needs.Works with little to no direct supervision on routine tasks.Employment Details:
