Training Officer reports to Ethics Project Coordinator.
Responsibilities
– Organizes, designs and delivers ethics courses including, but not limited to, ethics refresher, ethics mandatory course. Prepares and monitors expenditure of the project budget on staff training. – Liaises with HRD in HQ and HR Offices in the fields and identifies professional development training opportunities for staff members and coordinates delivery of the training, as required. – Monitors and develops mechanisms for evaluating the effectiveness of various training modules developed for Ethics Office; processes and analyzes learning data to draw insights and follows up to improve learning initiatives, addresses the identified areas for improvement, and follows up their implementation; Writes clear, concise training and outreach reports; keeps abreast of applied learning developments, best practice and lessons learned in the ethics training that can be enhanced in UNRWA and makes recommendations accordingly. – Contribute substantively to the support of the development of 3-year e-learning Ethics Refresher course. – Develops communications material and supports roll out of training and dialogue session (Virtual and Face-to-Face) on Protection against Retaliation (Protecting Whistleblowers). – Develops communications material and supports roll out of active bystander training for Area Managers on Protection against Retaliation. Supports in outreach and raising awareness activities of the Ethics Office. – Contribute substantively to the annual staff awareness campaign on their obligation to disclose their outside and political activities, and other associated activities. – Development and training on the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for conducting outside activity management checks; Compact letters to fields managers to ensure that their staff comply with regulatory framework concerning outside activities in cooperation with the HRD and the Executive Office. – Provides clear and accurate input to the Ethics Office Case Management System on Training and Outreach, provides reports as required from the HR Dashboard and Moodle. – Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Work Experience
– A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in ethics and standards of conduct, legal practices/ law, corporate compliance, oversight services, organizational ethics, staff misconduct and investigations, humanitarian principles, employee relations or other related fields is required. – Experience in developing and supporting blended learning programmes with a strong e-learning component and training facilitation, is required – A university degree from an accredited educational institution in the fields of law, business administration, human resources management, or another field of relevance is required. – Professional membership of training institute or a certification of train of trainers is required. – Prior experience in UN is desirable. – Are you currently residing in Duty station. Special Notice
Type of Contract: Limited Duration Contract (LDC), Band F. The Limited Duration Contract for this specific EU project applies to external candidates and UNRWA internal candidates on LDC and FT. Should the selected candidate be on FT position, and subject to agreement between the releasing and receiving Departments/Field, that candidate will have a lien to their position for the duration of their contract. Duration of Contract: 12 months (renewable subject to availability of funds, performance and need). Grade & Salary: LDC- Band F monthly basic salary ranges JOD 1,057.70.
