We currently have an opening for a Transportation Design Technologist in our Vancouver office.

- Assisting engineers and other technologists with distributing, balancing and checking CAD/ Civil 3D work.
- Geometric design of provincial highways, municipal roadworks, and various airport infrastructure in Civil 3D.
- Leading Drawing Production efforts on projects (i.e. Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3) including:
- Design Collaboration.
- Standards Conformance.
- Drawing Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
- Mentoring and supporting Civil Technologists/Technicians, Designers, and Engineers.
- Opportunity to contribute at a corporate level.

- A Civil Engineering Diploma or Design and Drafting Technology diploma from an accredited technical institute or an equivalent qualification.
- Registered or eligible to register as a Technician (CTech)/Technologist (AScT) with Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia.
- 2+ years of progressive experience in computer-aided design and drafting of transportation projects, with a focus on transportation (highways, roads, and/or airports) is desired.
- Ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Autodesk Civil 3D knowledge and proficiency.
- Proficiency in drafting using AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in importing survey files, creating DTM’s, preparing survey base plans, and setting up design folders is an asset.
- Design skills using Autodesk Civil3D, proficiency in geometric design, pipe networks, and corridors are an asset.
- Good understanding of BC MoTI Design Standards and TAC Geometric Design Guidelines is an asset.
- Familiarity with other relevant software programs including AutoDesk Vehicle Tracking (AVT) and Infraworks is an asset.
- Ability to problem solve and handle difficult or unexpected situations.
