Contract:  Full-time. Fixed term to 31 January 2024

Salary: Grade 07. £32,411 – £36,333 (pro rata if part-time) per annum together with USS pension benefits
Location: Singleton Campus

In this role you will be joining the School of Culture and Communication in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The successful candidate will support and extend the continued development of teaching and mentoring in Modern Languages at Swansea.

This role is designed to deliver teaching at BA and MA level. We teach European languages – French, German and Spanish – from beginner to advanced (post A-level) (CEFR A1-C1).  We offer a BA Modern Languages, BA Modern Languages, Translation and Interpreting, as well as a range of joint honours degrees and MA programmes in translation and interpreting.

The successful candidate will cover Spanish language teaching on the abovementioned BA programmes, with some support for MA programmes, including general and professional language.

You will need: A degree or equivalent in Spanish Language, Translation and/or Interpreting or a related subject

Demonstrate the ability to teach and supervising students successfully

Excellent organisation skills to plan own day to day activity within the framework of the agreed programme

To work as an effective member of the teaching staff and to contribute to teaching programmes in cooperation with colleagues.
