The Opportunity
You will be a key member of Trócaire’s Global Partnerships and Funding team. A dynamic team that focuses on building a sustainable and diverse income from Institutional Donors, Trusts and Foundations. You will provide strategic oversight and analysis of UK funding trends, track funding opportunities, support and co-ordinate funding applications, promote compliance with donor rules and support effective management of the grants and contracts that we secure. This is an exciting opportunity to work with collegues in the UK, Ireland and in our international offices across the world.

The UK Partnerships Advisor plays a critical role in managing current funding from the UK Government, identifying new funding opportunities and working closely with Trócaire’s HQ and country teams to apply for funding to support Trócaire’s development and humanitarian work.
We are looking for a candidate who:
· Has a comprehensive understanding of the UK funding landscape, a track-record of developing successful funding proposals and effectively managing UK funded grants and contracts.
· Is a self-starter, comfortable working remotely and with a proven ability to deliver exceptional results in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
· Has excellent strategic thinking and planning skills.
· Is an experienced networker, confident in interacting with others at all levels

This job opportunity is to cover maternity leave and will be offered on a Specified Purpose Contract (expected duration approximately 12 months). It can be based in the UK or Ireland and will require periodic travel to London, Trócaire’s HQ in Maynooth, to the Belfast office and Trócaire’s country offices.
