Based in the heart of the Isle of Man, our UKI operation has enjoyed major business wins. With a huge welcome from our clients and increased demand from the UKI industry sectors, the Isle of Man is looking to recruit Graduate Trainee Chartered Accountants starting in September 2024 and January 2025.As an Graduate Trainee Chartered Accountant in the Isle of Man, you will be a fundamental part of a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with our clients delivering efficient and effective assurance services. What’s more you won’t always find yourself in a purely office-based role, as we encourage you to work with clients on their own sites when this is practical and efficient. If you are a confident team player, have excellent communications skills, and have a genuine interest in studying towards an accountancy qualification, consider EY.Your key responsibilitiesYou will be expected to execute work efficiently, delivering excellent service and bringing the full breadth of EY’s capability to support our UKI industry sector clients. You will train towards obtaining your ACA professional qualification in a supportive and enthusiastic environment.
- Preparing accurate assurance documentation for review
- Take ownership for nominated audit area(s) and/or delivery and completion of smaller clients
- Gaining an in-depth knowledge of the audit process to develop knowledge
- Complete work allocated by direct supervisor within budget and deadlines
- Gain knowledge on engagements of client/business issues, e.g. by using the firm’s knowledge resources
- Gather and analyse data, and perform detailed audit testing
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong motivation to study towards the ICAEW ACA qualification
To qualify for the role you must have
- 2:1 honours degree in any discipline
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Knowledge of current trends/issues affecting the UKI industry sector markets in the UKI region
