UN Full-time: Graphic Designer (2 Positions) – Budapest

Mission and objectives

At the heart of UNICEF’s work is the program countries. Each office works in line with UNICEF’s mission as part of a specific program of cooperation with local governments. Their work is based on a five-year plan based on a situation analysis and is provided with technical assistance by the regional offices. UNICEF’s work is part of other UN activities in the country.

Context

The HRBP team within the People & Learning Section at GSSC is responsible for managing people-related functions, ensuring that staff are empowered, skilled, and aligned with UNICEF’s core values. The team works to foster a safe and inclusive work environment where staff can excel. In line with the OneHR Strategy 2022-2025 and the GSSC’s HR management approach, the team has shifted to a customer care model based on HR business partnering. Additionally, through participation in a global recruitment hub pilot, HRBP can dedicate more time to focusing on culture, staff engagement, career management, and wellbeing. The HRBP team’s work often involves communication with management, staff, and external parties in various formats, including providing information, advocating for new initiatives, contributing to decision-making, staff engagement and supporting behavioral change.

Task Description

People & Learning Section at UNICEF GSSC is looking for two graphic designers experienced in designing effective infographics, presentations, posters, flyers, or similar, and visualizing and telling stories with data, as well as creating document layouts. They will work closely with focal points in the section who will provide context and content for each task. The designers will advise on the most effective strategy to communicate the content to the target audience and produce necessary graphic design. The work is done based on corporate design and style guidance. The need is continuous, and the volunteers will indicate their capacity and availability. The Online Volunteer/s will have the opportunity to build connections with the UNICEF GSSC People & Learning Section, advice on the best design for the most effective communication and learn about the ways in which graphic design and communication are utilized in UN and UN UNICEF GSSC. They will receive a certificate of appreciation at the end of the task.
