Undergraduate Tutor in Medicine (Honorary Clinical Lecturer)
Grade: Honorary Clinical Lecturer
In Partnership with Shrewsbury & Telford Hospitals NHS Trust
1 PA per Week
University Teaching Agreement for 3 years in the first instance.
You will undertake the educational supervision of students in years 4 and 5 and teach at Shrewsbury and Telford, as required. You will provide opportunities for learning for students during their time in medicine. This will include assurance of experience in the clinical environment, meetings with students, marking of OSCAR assessments and contribution to appraisals, participation in compulsory OSCE training and examining, the recruitment of patients for examinations, and other components of the curriculum such as year spine and skills sessions. This appointment is to support Medical specialities teaching.
You will be fully registered with the General Medical Council with a licence to practise. You will have evidence of strong administrative/management skills, demonstrable potential for academic leadership, and substantial experience of teaching medical students. Essential skills include good team working and the ability to collaborate with other disciplines, and excellent communication and organisational skills.
