Use of Force Guard in Ottawa, Ontario

We are seeking a full-time use of force guard to join our team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. You will observe and report activities and incidents at the assigned client site and make periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct regular patrols to uphold safety standards for visitors, tenants, and assets.

• Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle, checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, and unauthorized persons.

• Respond efficiently to security incidents or emergencies with professionalism.

• Prepare logs and reports as required.

• Enforce the site’s policies to maintain a secure and orderly environment.

• Provide exceptional customer service, aiding visitors and addressing inquiries.

• Collaborate seamlessly with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a valid Ontario Security guard license.

• Strong observational skills with the ability to detect and respond to security threats.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.

• Proficiency in using security equipment and technology.

• Flexibility to work various shifts.
