Veterinary Academic Clinician in Disease Investigation

We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Academic Clinician in Disease Investigation to contribute to a clinical service to deliver, enhance and develop the education of undergraduate and postgraduate students in disease surveillance, disease investigation, including gross pathology, and production animal treatment and control/prevention programmes. In addition, you will collaborate with clinical and research staff in SRUC and the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences in developing an active research programme.This is a joint position between the Division of Pathology, Public Health and Disease Investigation and the Division of Farm Animal Clinical Sciences, delivering disease investigation services based around the School of Biodiversity One Health and Veterinary Medicine (SBOHVM) collaboration with Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC).We welcome applications from candidates who hold a Veterinary degree registerable with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and relevant practical experience.Veterinary Medicine is based in the north of the city of Glasgow on the Garscube estate and is a constituent of the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences. The School currently offers a 5-year professional programme (BVMS), leading to recognition as a veterinarian in many countries. The current student complement in the BVMS programme is 652.Veterinary Medicine has been rated 1st in the UK Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide. It has an excellent international reputation in teaching, clinical services and research and is accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), the European Association of Establishments of Veterinary Education (EAEVE) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).This post is full time and open ended, however applicants wishing to work part time will also be considered.Visit our website for further information on The University of Glasgow’s School of Biodiversity, One Health & Vet Medicine
