Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of Chief of Service, the individual contractor will contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive e-commerce training for the Government of Botswana through the following sets of tasks: 1. Provide support in the development and creation of an e-academy, online courses and training modules. Provide support in editing of videos which have been prepared of lessons for online course materials, for example through Loom Upload course contents and materials on an e-platform for creating online courses Provide support on preparation and dissemination of certificates of completion for course students, if needed Support preparation of the course content and creation of the e-academy and online courses 2. Provide support in the launch and dissemination of the e-academy and online courses and the organizing of a launch event and related activities (date to be confirmed) Contact entrepreneurs, government officials and other stakeholders through email, telephone and other communication channels to inform them of the e-commerce courses and launch event; Prepare and disseminate publicity materials on the launch of the e-academy and online courses; Ensure smooth registration of participants in the launch and online courses Support the launch of the e-academy and online courses 3. Provide research and note taking support 4. Provide support for a virtual community/network of Botswana entrepreneurs which has been created 5. Provide support for follow up activities of the Advisory Board to the virtual community of entrepreneurs The individual contractor must have access to a fast speed, good quality internet connection as he/she will be asked to do considerable downloading (and possibly uploading) of large videos to the online course e-platform during the online course creation process which is the main focus of this work.
Qualifications/special skills
A recognized 1st level Degree (Bachelor) in Media Technology or related area, is required. Certificate in online video editing is desired. 2 years of work experience in working with software for the creation of online courses is required. Experience in editing videos and other materials for online courses is required. Experience in downloading videos and other course materials to an e-platform for creating online courses is required. Experience working with the software Loom (www.loom.com) or a similar software would be an asset.
Languages
Fluency spoken and written in English is required.
