Main purpose of job:
Reporting to the Corporate Services Team in Canberra, this role is responsible being the first point of contact for resolution of local issues that fall under the corporate services remit in the British High Commission, Canberra or British Consulate General, Sydney.
The job holder will be responsible for providing high quality Corporate Services delivery across Australia Network, including procuring and requisitioning goods and services for Corporate Services. The jobholder requires strong (written and verbal) communication and prioritisation skills, with agility in operating under ambiguity.
The job holder will also be providing support to the Lead IT Support Officer (ITSO) and assist in delivering operational and strategic ICT tasks in accordance with London IDD ensuring compliance, business resilience and business continuity, as well as regular systems, hardware maintenance, and repairs.

This vacancy is advertised as a full-time, fixed term role of 12 months to be based in Sydney.
Salary is at AU$ 75,540per annum (paid out monthly), plus 11% superannuation.
Appointment is subject to an AFP records check and UK security clearance.
Open to Australian citizens, permanent residents, and partners/ dependents of UK-based diplomatic staff currently posted in Australia.

Working patterns:
The British High Commission supports and promotes flexible working times but due to working with teams in the UK, there may be occasions for some calls to be outside of core hours. Although flexibility arrangements and remote working can be catered for subject to line management agreement, due to the nature of the work main duties are office based.
Normal working hours for full time employment are 38 hours p/w Monday to Friday
The overall package also includes the standard 14 days of public holidays that the UK in Australia Network all works to as well as 22 days annual leave.
The FCDO also operates an agile workforce. To facilitate this, you may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as we may reasonably require.
