The British Embassy in Moscow is part of a world-wide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is now looking for a Corporate Services & Finance Support Officer (Moscow, Corporate Services Team).

Main purpose of job:

Corporate Services is one of the core departments of the British Embassy in Moscow. We require a full-time officer to undertake administrative and financial responsibilities for the Russia Network. This role will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to learn a wide range of functions in compliance with Foreign, Commonwealth and Development (FCDO) policies.

The jobholder will be an integral part of the team. The responsibilities of the position will be spread across a broad range of corporate services functions including Administration, Accounts and Procurement.

What will you be expected to achieve?

Financial support:

  • Administering accounting operations to meet FCDO requirements, keeping accurate records for all daily transactions, handling financial enquiries;
  • Running the cash office efficiently and in compliance with audit/financial best practice requirements, promptly processing all cash receipts, replenishing the imprests;
  • Supporting changes to bank signatories;
  • Monthly financial housekeeping activities.

Corporate Support:

  • Providing administrative and operational support to Corporate Services Team;
  • Performing full corporate services purchase to pay processes (P2P);
  • Record keeping/filing of the Corporate Services paperwork in accordance with FCDO guidelines;
  • Other duties that may reasonably be required and which are in accordance with the grading and core competencies of the job.

Some support for holiday or sick leave cover within the wider team will be necessary and gives the officer an opportunity to develop further skills.

Essential on arrival:

  • Previous experience in administrative/financial roles.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel.
  • English & Russian Level of language required: C1 / Native.

Desirable:  

  • Previous experience of working in a diplomatic mission.

This is a permanent full-time contract, 5 working days, 35 hours net per week.

The monthly salary for this position is Rub 94 410 gross, AO level, paid 13 times a year.

The successful candidate will be subject to professional background check and security clearance.

All applicants should have a pre-existing legal status to live and work in Russia. The British Embassy does not facilitate/sponsor visa applications and work permits.

Staff recruited locally by the British Embassy in Russia is subject to Terms and Conditions of Service according to local Russian employment law.
