The British Embassy in Bishkek is part of a world-wide diplomatic network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is now looking for a Corporate Services Manager. 

The successful candidate will join to manage the corporate services team in the British Embassy Bishkek and ensure they deliver a quality service to everyone on the platform provided by the Embassy.

Strategic planning and leadership 

•    Lead a corporate services team of 6 people (including CSM) to deliver a quality service for BE Bishkek 
•   “Horizon scanning” on corporate issues to enable proactive resource and activity planning
•    Efficient management of the Embassy platform and support to visiting regional teams
•    Maintain relationships with key stakeholders internally, with regional and global hubs, and with external partners (i.e. other diplomatic missions, government departments and suppliers) 
•    Ensure local policies are reviewed and aligned to FCDO and local requirements 
•    Lead and monitor the delivery of services against the Embassy’s corporate services charter

Delivery

•    Manage all corporate delivery across finance, HR and estates working closely with the regional HR, finance and procurement hubs and Global Processing Transaction Centre (GTPC)
•    Oversee management, forecasting and monitoring of the admin budget.  Prepare payroll and tax submissions in the absence of the Finance Officer
•    Act as the “intelligent client”, identifying requirements, appropriate service level agreements and key performance indicators to manage supplier contracts

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills enabling effective communication and ability to adapt communication style to different situations in English and Russian (minimum C1 level for CEFR framework *)
  • Minimum three years working for an international organisation in Human resources, corporate or finance positions
  • High levels of discretion with a resilient, proactive, flexible and “can do attitude
  • Experience in managing suppliers and outsourced service delivery

  • Ability to effectively communicate in Kyrgyz

This is a full-time and permanent position. 

Working hours from: Monday to Friday 09.00-17.00, but flexibility on working patterns is offered.

The gross salary per month is 1,952 USD. Please note 13th monthly salary is paid pro rata in November.

The successful candidate will be subject to a professional background check and security clearance and 3 month probation period ( permanent contracts).

Staff recruited locally by the British Embassy in Kyrgyzstan are subject to terms and conditions service according to Kyrgyz employment.

British Embassy Bishkek puts a strong emphasis on Learning & Development. All staff are entitled to spend 5 days per year (pro rata) to work on their Learning & Development. Where travel restrictions allow we encourage all staff to take the opportunity to travel within the region and beyond to attend training courses, job shadowing and other learning and development opportunities at least once per year.
