Main purpose of job:

The Data Entry Assistant is an important administrative role within the British High Commission, Islamabad. You will work in the Technical Works Group (TWG) office of the British High Commission.  TWG provides facilities management covering all domestic and commercial services the British High Commission.  We are looking for a team player who is a confident, hardworking, honest having strong stores and Data entry skills and typing skills.  The successful applicant should also have office administrative skills along with knowledge in MS office

We are having accommodation & furnishing items, home electronic appliance, HVAC/Power plants parts and construction materials at our stores. As a Data Entry Assistant, you will have to enter all issuance/return docket on excel sheet on daily basis. The main responsibilities of this position include data entry in excel sheet & keep all office record in files like issuance/return with project wise, managing tracking systems and acting as a liaison to other departments. 

As a Data Entry Assistant, you should have a solid knowledge of excel and MS word.

Roles and responsibilities that a jobholder will be expected to achieve:

  • Accurately maintain stores inventory sheets on MS excel.
  • Generate inventory and costing report of material.
  • Update the inventory on bin card system.
  • Do regular inventory inspection of all storage area.
  • Data input of daily issuance and delivery on excel sheet.
  • Office administration and record keeping of issuance and delivery.
  • Raise Material inspection note for new deliveries.
  • Process security clearance of vendors and contractors for delivery material.
  • Raising material inspection note for material inspection.
  • Ensure compliance to store and health and safety procedures.

Essential on arrival:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in data entry, typing and inventory management in store.
  • Minimum education is matriculation
  • Good typing speed.
  • Experience on Microsoft office (Excel & Word) and Outlook.
  • Experience in office administration and record keeping.

Language Requirements:

  • Language: English, Urdu
  • Level of language required: Fluent in written and spoken

Desirable:   

  • Bachelors in any science subject
  • Experience and certification in Health & Safety of stores and warehousing
  • Store or Inventory management certification
  • Valid Driving Licence

For BHC candidates, the Country Based Staff BHC Terms & Conditions will apply.

For other than BHC candidates the basic salary will be PKR 92,809 per month. This salary is non-negotiable.

Please note that the current salaries are being dollarized and processed in USD (using a fixed corporate exchange rate from November 2022) to provide cushion against the current external market conditions. This is a temporary measure and is subject to review at regular intervals. The payroll will revert to local currency processing once the external market conditions are normalised.

BHC offers a great benefits package that comprises of Annual Domiciliary cover and Medical Insurance Scheme which includes PKR 1,500,000 floater coverage per family for self, one spouse/long term partner and children under the age of 19 or under 23, if in full-time education and not gainfully employed. The Annual Domiciliary cover for day-to-day medical payments is upto PKR 200,000 per family (basis actual bills submission).

 Additionally, The British High Commission contributes to a retirement provision in the form of a mandatory provident fund.
