Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (Operations and Corporate Services)

Corporate Services Support

Main purpose of job:

To provide administrative support to the Corporate Services Section in finance, accountancy, procurement and other related subjects.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • To provide administrative support on all corporate paperwork and improving filing and organisational systems
  • To provide support (back up) to estate work as needed
  • To provide support (back up) to finance and administrative work as needed
  • Focus on effective customer service, ensuring that the estates service is professional and in line with the post corporate services charter, identifying ways to deliver a more efficient and effective service
  • Stay up to date with all related compulsory training needs
  • Contribute to the wider well-being and effectiveness of the Embassy (e.g. participation in committees etc.)

  • Ability to speak, read and write English and French confidently
  • Higher Education in business administration, finance, logistics or other
  • Good knowledge of MS excel and other MS office Programmes
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent time management skills

Language requirements: 

Language: French and English

Level of language required: Spoken and written

  • Organised, efficient, self-starter, meet deadline, flexibility
  • Ability to work well in a small team, sometimes under pressure

The job is office-based.

Out of hours working will be required on occasion but Time Off In Lieu can be claimed
