The National Crime Agency (NCA) Paris Team (currently comprised of 6 International Liasion Officers (ILOs) and 3 support staff plus a Regional Manager) work closely with a range of French Law Enforcement Partners on serious and organised matters affecting the UK, its citizens and its interests.  The team also work closely with the joint UK/France office based in the North of France and also NCA colleagues in Near Europe.  This includes, but is not limited to, the following crime threats: drugs trafficking, firearms trafficking, money laundering, cybercrime, bribery and corruption, modern slavery and human trafficking, child sexual exploitation and abuse and organised immigration crime.  The additional support team member will be responsible for carrying out a range of administrative duties and other tasks to deliver France-specific and organisational objectives which may involve occasional travel to Northern France. 

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • General office administration and support to both the Liaison Officers and Managers, including, but not limited to fleet and facilities management.
  • Monitoring incoming enquiries and maintaining logs and databases.
  • Provision of written and spoken translation services for the International Liaison Officers & Regional Manager.
  • Clearly communicate with French Law Enforcement and other partners on behalf of the NCA;
  • Draft reports and intelligence logs for dissemination to UK and French Law Enforcement partners;
  • Organise logistics and compile programmes for incoming/outgoing visits and events including hotel and travel bookings through the NCA`s designated travel supplier and other third parties as required;
  • Attend a range of events, meetings and conferences in support of the ILOs and Regional Manager to strengthen the UK-France bilateral relationship both within France and the UK as required.;
  • Liaise with partners across the Embassy in pursuit of the NCA `one platform` approach through joint working;
  • Conduct ad-hoc open-source research and analysis, present findings in a logical and concise manner;
  • Carry out financial administration, including the payment of invoices.

  • Excellent level of English and French is essential (both oral and written) C2 Level or equivalent*;
  • Strong organisational and time management skills – ability to manage competing priorities;
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Sharepoint applications;
  • High level of discretion and integrity;
  • Experience of general administrative duties in an office environment.

  • Knowledge of UK/French law enforcement;
  • Previous experience of working in an international environment.

This is a full-time permanent position of 35 hours per week.
