- Handle carpentry tasks such as assembling flat-pack furniture and repairing cabinets.
- Perform basic metalwork, including fixing gates, doors, and window furnishings.
– Gardening and Outdoor Tasks:
- Maintain outdoor areas, repair fences, install irrigation systems, and support gardening projects.
- Set up garden features such as pergolas and sheds and manage composting and recycling efforts.

- Identify and implement ways to reduce energy and water usage.
- Recycle and upcycle materials to contribute to environmental sustainability.
– Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the Technical Supervisor, Technical Works Officer, and Residence Team to plan and execute maintenance projects.
- Keep colleagues informed on progress and address feedback promptly.
– Resource Management:
- Maintain tools, equipment, and storerooms in an organised and functional condition.
- Track inventory levels and ensure sufficient stock is available while managing costs effectively.

The job description may be reviewed to meet changes in business needs. The jobholder may also take on other ad hoc tasks as required, including participating in the Embassy’s emergency planning and any other response to a crisis.
