The British Embassy in Warsaw is part of a world-wide British Government network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas. We are currently looking for a Property Compliance Lead – Europe, who will lead as a subject matter expert on property compliance matters and oversee property policy standards across our Overseas Estates Department. The Overseas Estates Department Property Compliance Lead for Europe is a new specialist role reporting directly to the FCDO Head of Global Building Compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day property compliance management and oversight of the third-generation European outsourced facilities management (FM) contract. As the regional property compliance subject matter expert you will also be responsible for the oversight and management of regional sustainability and compliance leadership for projects within region. The post holder will be a key member of the Overseas Estates Department (OED) regional team and will be required to support the global maintenance programme commercial team in relation to European projects when required. Maintaining strong working relationships with FM service delivery partners and OED team members will be key, and you will also be required to frequently engage with senior management and operational managers at Post, as well as with the wider FCDO estates teams on compliance related matters and property policy standards. You will act as a primary advisor to the wider Overseas Estates Department team for property compliance advice across the contract. Regular regional travel will be required.

This is a full-time fixed-term position for 5 days (37.5 hours net) per week, for the period of 2 years with the possibility of renewal by mutual agreement.
The gross salary for this position is PLN 23,226 gross per month.
Please note that staff members are responsible for paying any income tax required by the local law.
The successful candidate will be subject to the Polish references check and satisfactory completion of a probationary period of three months.
Candidates must have pre-existing right to live and work in Poland for the duration of the job offer in order to apply. The British Embassy does not sponsor work permits.
Staff recruited locally by the British Embassy in Warsaw are subject to Terms and Conditions of Service according to Polish employment law.
Visa / Passport requirements: Candidates must currently hold the independent right to live and work in Poland and be prepared to ensure that right remains throughout the scope of the contract. Working patterns: The British Embassy Warsaw has a strong commitment to work/life balance. Standard office hours are 8.30-16.30 with flexi-hours possibility within the opening hours 8.00-18.00. We also have mobile technology and offer hybrid working with remote working days to be agreed with Line Managers.
