Position description

The Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of North Florida seeks candidates for one-year appointments as Visiting Assistant Professor in Political Science beginning in August 2024. The department seeks broadly trained scholars and has curricular needs across the political science major, including American politics, international relations/comparative politics, research methods, and public law. The department welcomes the use of innovative teaching technologies including distance learning and hybrid classes. Candidates should demonstrate teaching excellence. The teaching load is four courses per semester. Required qualifications are a PhD or ABD status in Political Science, Government, or a related field.

Faculty Position Required Qualifications: 
A PhD in Political Science, Government, or related field is preferred but the department will consider highly qualified ABD candidates.
