Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: data entry, ordering and maintaining supplies, admitting patients, required transport functions, filing, managing patient health record information, photocopying, faxing, answering phones, and placing calls to staff as required.Hours of WorkMon – Fri + Weekends (10.5 hour rotating shifts)Your Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Completion of a recognized business/secretarial program is an asset.
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft Office and Outlook, is required.
  • Knowledge of Meditech is preferred.
  • Demonstrated accurate keyboarding and data entry skills required. Testing will be conducted on short-listed candidates and results will be factored into the candidate’s overall suitability for this position.
  • Demonstrated team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to work with a wide variety of interdisciplinary team members and families.
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills required.
  • Previous experience in a similar role (admitting patients) preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset.
  • Competency in other languages is an asset.
