Contingent Warehouse Picker/Packer 

Role Summary 

We are looking for a reliable and efficient Contingent Warehouse Picker/Packer to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, including picking, packing, and organizing inventory for shipment. You will play a key role in ensuring that orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Order Picking: Accurately pick assorted products from inventory shelves based on customer orders, ensuring the right items and quantities are selected 

  • Packing: Safely and securely pack products for shipment, ensuring packaging meets quality standards and protects items during transit. 

  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring that stock levels are correct and that inventory is stored in an organized manner. 

  • Shipping Prep: Prepare items for shipment, including labeling packages and ensuring all orders are ready for dispatch in a timely manner. 

  • Quality Control: Inspect products for defects, ensuring that they meet the company’s quality standards before packing and shipping. 

  • Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by following proper storage procedures and ensuring items are stocked correctly. 

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse team members, as well as with production and shipping departments, to ensure smooth and efficient order fulfillment. 

  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and adhere to warehouse policies to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment. 

    Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, packing, or order fulfillment role is preferred, but not required. On-the-job training will be provided. 

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately pick and pack orders, ensuring that all items are correctly selected and securely packaged. 

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently to meet order deadlines. 

  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills to interact effectively with supervisors, team members, and other departments. 

  • Team Player: Ability to work well with others in a team environment, contributing to the overall success of the warehouse operation. 

  • Safety Awareness: Understanding of and adherence to warehouse safety procedures and guidelines 

  • Previous experience with barcode scanners or warehouse management software (WMS).
