Works Supervisor – Habitat Restoration

the New Forest. Because the works supervisor you’ll assist the restoration officers to plan and

HLS scheme. The work programmes deal with restoring and enhancing internationally essential
heathlands, species-rich grasslands, woodlands and wetlands within the New Forest.

Key work areas:

• Help restoration officers in planning work programmes and establishing and managing
  operational contracts to ship habitat restoration within the New Forest, akin to tree felling,
  rhododendron clearance and drain infilling.
• Perform everyday supervision of employees and contractors engaged on habitat restoration
  works, sustaining excessive requirements of supply.
• Monitor well being and security practices of contractors and Forestry England employees to make sure
  excessive requirements of security.
• Preserve good communications with Forestry England employees, contractors, stakeholders and
  members of the general public, to maximise efficient supply of the works.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Important:

• Related expertise in countryside administration, conservation or forestry.
