This is a hybrid position which requires 8 days/month in the office. You can be based in our office in Washington D.C., London or The Hague. Existing work authorization is required at the time of application submission as WRI is unable to sponsor any visa work sponsorship for this position. WRI’s Energy program tackles barriers to scaling renewable and clean energy solutions that are reliable, accessible, and inclusive for all communities. Building on decades of experience driving global impact through rigorous research and collaboration across governments, businesses, and financial institutions, WRI leads this work by connecting leaders, unlocking and scaling financing, and equipping the workforce and entrepreneurs of the future. Job Highlight:
Reporting to Energy Program’s Communications Lead, you will integrate equity into your work. You will work to build awareness of and support for our work as a leader in the global clean energy transition. Broadly, you will work with WRI Energy’s communications team and program staff to build a strategy around social media, email and digital marketing, develop communications campaigns and track results. You will liaise with other staff in our country offices and program staff around the globe to amplify local and regional work to international stories through our digital and social communications channels. You will also conceive of ideas for new campaigns and articles based on what you are hearing from our country and program staff. In addition to developing and implementing communications strategy on all our digital channels, you will be responsible to creating assets, which could include articles, social media kits, web content, email newsletters, PowerPoint slide decks, promotional copy for webinars, workshops and events, video scripts and other collateral.
You will be supported by the Energy Program’s Global Communications Lead, as well as communications staff throughout the Energy Program’s global network (U.S., Africa, India, Europe, Mexico, Indonesia, and China), Energy Program staff and WRI’s core communications team.

What will you need:
Potential Salary: US salary range is between 69K and 78K USD. UK: 38K – 47 K GBP; NL: 49K – 61K EUR. If located in another country office, salary will be determined by local market conditions. Salary is commensurate with experience and other compensable factors.
