  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons to Year 2 students, using creativity and innovation to keep the students engaged.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing formal and informal feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan, prepare and participate in school events, including extracurricular activities.
  • Establish and maintain open and positive communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Utilise a student-centered approach to teaching, encouraging independent thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Incorporate inclusive practices into teaching approaches, recognising the diverse needs of students.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping, including attendance records and student data, in line with the school’s policies.

Year 2 Teacher requirements:

  • QTS, PGCE and strong academic record
  • Experience teaching key stage 1 students.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly organised and able to manage competing demands effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Passionate about teaching and creating a positive learning environment.
