The successful Year 6 teacher will need to:
- Be an Early Careers Teacher (ECT) or have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE or a Bachelor of Education
- Have the ability and experience of teaching in KS1 areas with good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
- Have strong classroom management skills
- Be able to deal with challenging behaviour and a creative approach is necessary
- Be able to use your own initiative and work as part of a team
Academics Ltd are currently working with a Primary school in the London Borough of Harrow who are looking for a Year 6 Teacher to join their school from September 2024.The school in Harrow is situated within close distance to transport links via train and buses. The school aims to recognise that children are constantly developing and ensure that the curriculum offered to them is appropriate to that development.The Year 6 teacher must have QTS, be willing to continue with professional development and have knowledge of the teaching framework. You must be self-motivated, a team player, approachable and adaptable.The Year 6 teacher should possess good communication skills and be able to effectively manage behaviour.It is essential that the Year 6 teacher is highly effective in the classroom with evidence that children in your care make at least good progress.
