The Francis Crick Institute PhD for Clinicians (3 years fully funded)The Crick is a multi-disciplinary biomedical discovery research institute in central London dedicated to understanding the fundamental biology underlying health and disease.Our fully funded doctoral fellowships for clinicians provide an opportunity for talented clinicians to carry out exciting research projects for three years while following the Crick’s clinical PhD programme.The Crick’s research is dedicated to unravelling the scientific mechanisms of living organisms, helping us to understand why disease develops and find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat illnesses. One of our aims is to advance the understanding of cancer at the most fundamental level and to speed application of this knowledge for therapeutic and diagnostic patient benefit.Fellows will be based at the Crick, supported by a Crick primary supervisor, a secondary supervisor from one of the Crick partner universities (Imperial College London, King’s College London and UCL) and a dedicated thesis committee. They will benefit from well-resourced research labs, state-of-the-art science technology platforms, and a supportive and stimulating research environment.We are looking for talented and motivated clinicians who are passionate about research, have a strong academic track record and hold GMC registration or equivalent.These are full-time research positions with limited time for participation in clinical activities. They are fully funded for three years, covering salary, tuition fees and research costs.
