01 team member to support development of action plan.

Introduction :

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Viet Nam is looking for 02 national consultants (01 national forestry expert as team leader and 01 national legal expert as team member) to support development of action plan of forestry sector implementing European Union Deforestation-free Regulation (EUDR) for the Project “Integrated sustainable landscape management through deforestation-free jurisdiction project in Lam Dong and Dak Nong Viet Nam”, as described in the attached TORs. This Procurement Notice is specifically to recruit 01 National legal expert as the team member. 

The objectives of this assignment are to (1) develop action plan of Vietnam’s forestry sector to implement EUDR with sufficient technical analysis of current gaps, technical and coordination challenges; and (2) assess legal aspects of the EUDR action plan of forestry sector and support Department of Forestry (DoF, MARD) in EUDR action plan consultation for endorsement of the EUDR action plan.

Estimated number of working days:  20 working days for national legal expert (team member) from May 2024 – December 2024.
