We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant. The role is primarily focused on assisting with accounting functions in an on-site office environment. Great opportunity to obtain strong experience in accounting in the education sector.Responsibilities:

• Assisting with accounting tasks to manage overflow

• Handling incoming phone calls as required

• Assisting with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Conducting bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy

• Managing petty cash transactions and records

• Carrying out payroll calculations, ensuring accuracy and correctness

• Utilizing accounting software systems, particularly Sage 50

• Handling journal entries as required

• Paying attention to detail in all accounting tasks and functions

• Assisting with funding and bank reconciliations, ensuring records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Understanding and experience with Accounting Functions
• Ability to manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Proficiency in Sage 50 software
• Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries
