Accounting Clerk in Tucson, Arizona

Description Robert Half is searching for a gifted Accounting Clerk for an esteemed organization. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term contract / temporary to hire position located in the Tucson, Arizona area.

Responsibilities

• Support Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

• Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

• Produce statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

• Codify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

• Harmonize discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

• Transmit financial information to journals and ledgers

• Work with Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance Requirements

• Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data

• Spreadsheet and ERP system experience recommended

• Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

• Proficiency in numeric data entry

• Purchase Orders experience
