Assistant Professor in Clinical Neuropsychology (Adult Clinical)

The Department of Psychology, Faculty of Health at York University invites highly qualified applicants for an Assistant Professor position in Clinical Neuropsychology (Adult Clinical). This is a tenure-track appointment to the Professorial Stream to commence July 1, 2025.

We encourage applications from scientist‐practitioners with a strong program of research in adult or lifespan disorders of brain and behaviour as well as expertise in neuropsychological assessment and/or intervention methods. As the only dual-accredited (Clinical Psychology/Clinical Neuropsychology) program in Canada, applicants with training in both Clinical Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology are encouraged to apply. The Clinical Neuropsychology stream within the Clinical Psychology Graduate Program is accredited by the Canadian Psychological Association and includes 6 core faculty members, with 3 in the Adult-Clinical area and 3 in the Clinical-Developmental area.

Candidate Qualifications:
Degree: PhD in Psychology from an accredited clinical training program with specialization in clinical neuropsychology, or equivalent post‐doctoral training, and being registered (or) eligibility for registration as a psychologist in the province of Ontario is required.
Scholarship:
• A coherent and well-articulated program of research with specialization in the field of clinical neuropsychology.
• A record or evident promise of generating innovative, substantive, rigorous, and as appropriate, externally funded research.
• A record or evident promise of making influential contributions and demonstrating excellence in the field (e.g., impactful publications, major presentations, and/or awards and accolades related to scholarship).
Teaching:
• A record or evident promise of excellence in undergraduate teaching and dedication to students (e.g., teaching accomplishments and/or pedagogical innovation in high priority areas such as experiential education, community engaged learning, and technology enhanced learning).
• A record or evident promise of excellence in teaching graduate level or clinical/skills-oriented courses.
• Suitability for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies, given that the position will involve graduate teaching and supervision.

Additional:
• Evidence of commitment to supervision and training in clinical neuropsychology, with an articulated approach to clinical and research supervision.
