1. Education Officer (Post no. 127945)

Under the supervision of  the Education Specialist, the Education Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for education programmes/projects within the Country Programme from development planning to delivery of results, preparing, executing, managing and implementing a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to facilitate programme development, implementation, programme progress monitoring, evaluating and reporting.

Additionally, as the education sector coordinator for Bhasan Char, this position guarantees leadership and coordination of the Education sector partners in order to ensure a strategic, coherent, effective and efficient Education response. In support to, and collaboration with national authorities and sector partners, the Education Officer will support the development and implementation of a sound strategy that responds to the education needs of Rohingya refugees in Bhasan Char for the short and medium term.

2. Education Officer (Post no. 127946)

Under the supervision of the Education Specialist, the Education Officer will work in technical areas of teacher professional development and learning assessment. He/she will also be responsible as Officer-in-Charge (OiC) for the Education Sector Working Group, when the UNICEF Sector Coordinator is away from the duty station. The incumbent acts as the focal point between the grantees, implementing partners and the Education Sector for the Education Cannot Wait (ECW) Multi Year Response Programme (MYRP) ensuring effective coordination and maintaining oversight of the Multi Year Response Programme as a whole.

3. Education Officer (Post no. 127947)

Under the supervision of the Education Specialist, the Education Officer will plan, develop, implement, monitor and build capacities in gender responsive education programming with the aim of reducing gender inequalities in access to education, engagement/participation in learning facilities, transition rates and achievement/application of grade-specific knowledge and skills. The Education Officer will work towards the goal of gender transformative programming.

The following minimum requirements:

•  A university degree in one of the following fields is required: education, psychology, sociology or another relevant technical field.

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in programme planning, management, and/or research in education is required.

• Experience working in the Rohingya response is necessary.

•  Fluency in English and Bangla is required.

The following desirables:

• Experience working in a consortium is preferred.

• Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.

• Knowledge of Chittagonian dialect is an asset.
