A well-established Roman Catholic Girls’ School in Southwark, South London, seeks a highly motivated and qualified Design Technology Teacher to join its dedicated team. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in September 2024.Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging and stimulating Design Technology lessons across the curriculum, fostering a passion for creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills in students.
• Design and implement a rigorous Design Technology curriculum aligned with National Curriculum standards, encouraging innovation and technical proficiency.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources, including workshops and practical projects, to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students reach their full potential.
• Play a key role in the development of the Design Technology department, including curriculum planning, resource creation, and collaborating with colleagues on departmental initiatives.
• Contribute to the overall academic progress and well-being of students through effective pastoral care and guidance.
• Build strong and positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Possession of a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Design Technology is essential.
• A demonstrably successful track record of delivering engaging and effective Design Technology lessons.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• A genuine passion for Design Technology and the ability to inspire students to be creative, innovative, and resourceful thinkers.
• Experience in utilizing workshops and practical projects within the classroom is highly desirable.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
