Chair – Tidal Dee Catchment Partnership

£375 per day Approx. 10–15 days per year Independent Chair

The Tidal Dee Catchment Partnership is looking for an ambitious and collaborative Chair to help shape the future of one of the UK’s most important estuarine environments.

The Dee Estuary is a remarkable place where internationally important wildlife, communities and major industry exist side by side. But it also faces significant challenges, including poor water quality, habitat loss, climate change and the complexity of working across the England–Wales border.

Our vision is for a thriving Tidal Dee catchment with healthy and functioning waterbodies, rich biodiversity, and resilient communities living in harmony with a sustainable economy.

We are looking for an independent Chair who can bring people together, strengthen the Partnership’s influence and profile, and help turn collaboration into meaningful action.

The successful candidate will be able to build trusted relationships across sectors and borders, chair diverse groups effectively and act as a credible ambassador for the Dee Estuary and its recovery. You don’t need to be a technical specialist, but you will need strong leadership and communication skills and a passion for environmental improvement.

The role requires approximately 10–15 days per year and is remunerated at £375 per day, with reasonable expenses covered.
