The School of Health & Wellbeing has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Lecturer in Public Health. This is a fixed term (up to 4 years or up until six months after obtaining CCT, whichever is soonest). The successful candidate will be appointed at the appropriate level of Specialty Registrar and would usually enter the West of Scotland Public Health Training Programme. You must already have a national training number at the time of taking up the post and you will be expected to have successfully passed the Faculty of Public Health Diplomate (Part A) exam.The post will be based within the School of Health and Wellbeing in the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences (MVLS) of the University of Glasgow, but for the purposes of public health training, rotation to health boards, local authorities and other organisations where public health activities are conducted may be required. Research may also be undertaken on other sites.Whilst public health training will need to be completed during the Lectureship to ensure you successfully complete your certificate of completion of training (CCT), this post provides an exceptional opportunity for combined public health and academic training. It is anticipated that 60% of time will be spent on public health training and 40% on academic training, with the latter largely focused on research activity.The post allows you to combine first class public health training with research training in the world class academic environment of the University of Glasgow.
