The UNICEF Private Sector Fundraising and Partnerships (PSFP) section within Private Fundraising and Partnerships Division (PFP) works with National Committees and UNICEF country offices to maximize income and drive income growth. The Marketing and Brand Building Section within PSFP lead the global efforts to build marketing strategies that position UNICEF effectively for fundraising and engagement with private sector audiences.
Work Assignment Overview:
Working with UNICEF teams across PFP and National Committees, offer recommendations on how UNICEF should market itself to the music industry.
Develop materials for UNICEF fundraisers and marketeers, to build capacity and make them confident to engage with the music industry. Enable fundraisers and marketeers to have a better understanding of ‘what do they care most about/motivations’, ‘what are effective channels/ways to reach them’.
Working with the PFP marketing specialist and the relevant National Committee fundraisers, facilitate, and pitch, using contacts in the music industry.
Deliverables:
Deliverable 1 by 30 June 2024: Estimated quantity: one (1) landscape analysis on the music industry globally and in the pilot markets (USA, UK, Sweden, Spain, and Brazil), including one 1 global market potential analysis and two (2) pilot market analyses, with a minimum of five (5) key, actionable recommendations.
Deliverable 2 by 15 August 2024: Estimated quantity: four (4) interviews with each of the pilot markets, one (1) comprehensive FAQ on the music industry, and identify how music industry differs in each pilot market, five (5) to ten (10) personas/profiles of the most common actors in the music industry ecosystem that are involved in music rights (i.e.: musicians, record labels, music publishers).
Deliverable 3 by 31 October 2024: Estimated introductions to UNICEF fundraisers: twenty (20), estimated pitch meetings: thirty (30) with accompanying written summary/debrief of each meeting.
