Your mission

• Provide technical expertise in the field of molecular biology, antibody engineering and characterization of antibodies. In this role you will apply molecular biology and design tools for the engineering of antibodies such as optimization of protein stability and post-translational modification engineering. Experience of nanobodies and antibody fragments would be highly desirable.
• Provide expertise in the development of antibody drug conjugates through the design and evaluation of functional stability and activity of ADCs.
• Assume program leadership role for key drug discovery projects. Propose and execute innovative experiments or technical work programs which influence overall program/project direction.
• Play a key role in the strategy and the decision-making process to support target validation and appropriate data packages.
• Expected to work independently liaising closely with colleagues within and across functional groups to ensure deadlines are met.
• Influence the design and execution of experiments or highly technical work programs within his/her own discipline.
• Play a key role in influencing therapeutic strategy across the company, having previous experience of developing and implementing new scientific strategies in own discipline.
• Able to appreciate and process abstract and complex data and results to then make significant decisions regarding programme/strategic direction.

Your profile

• PhD or MSc with experience in Biomedical sciences, Molecular biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related disciplines
• At least 10-15 years’ working experience performing laboratory research in either an academic or biotech/pharma industry environment
• Strong knowledge of antibody engineering and a track record of drug discovery project leadership.
