Vacancy terms: Full-time, or job share considered (minimum 0.5FTE), PermanentHours per week: 37.5Advert closes midnight on: 09 May 2024About the roleWe are excited to offer new an early-career opportunity for a PhD in Health Psychology (or related areas) to undertake research and teaching within our School of Psychology and Vision of Sciences.This Early Career Fellowship position is aimed at candidates who have completed their PhD and are seeking experience of post-doctoral research and teaching that will enable them to develop their academic careers.We seek candidates with research interests in Health Psychology that align with our research group in Health and Wellbeing (with Ageing). We are especially interested in applicants who could work with the Hypertension and Lipids clinic within University Hospitals Leicester to research the management of patients with non-adherence and multiple drug intolerances and methods for improving behavioural change.Candidates should have the potential to develop outstanding research programmes and to contribute high-quality psychology teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, using different approaches and methods (on-campus, distance learning and blended learning).Members of the School of Psychology & Vision Sciences were returned under UoA4 (Psychology, Psychiatry and Neuroscience) to REF 2021, achieving a ranking in the top quartile of submissions, and the highest (for GPA) amongst the East Midlands’ universities.Additional informationInformal enquiries are welcome and should be made to Professor Kevin Paterson on or Professor John Maltby on .Applications for job share will be considered.The University of Leicester has been changing the world, and changing people’s lives, for 100 years.
