*** 1:1 and small group academic support in KS4 EnglishThe Role
As an English Academic Coach, you’ll work with Key Stage 4 pupils to strengthen their reading, writing, and analytical skills in preparation for their GCSEs. You’ll lead focused 1:1 sessions and small group interventions, helping students improve essay structure, grasp literary techniques, and boost exam confidence. You’ll work closely with teachers to tailor support and monitor progress, playing a key role in raising achievement in English.The Candidate
You’re a graduate in English or a related subject, with strong written and verbal communication skills. You’re confident working with teenagers and keen to support those who need extra help. You may be considering a future in teaching, educational psychology, or academic mentoring. Experience with young people-tutoring, mentoring, classroom work-is highly desirable.The School
