English Teacher – HastingsJanuary 2025Pay – £110 – £250Location – Hastings, East SussexContract – Full-time, part-time availableAbout the School:Supply Desk are working with an improving secondary school in the Hastings area with improving standards across Key Stages and a strong emphasis of respect and inclusivity. They are looking to appoint a committed and passionate Teacher of English to deliver enthusiastic and engaging lessons for both Key Stage 3 and 4. This role is long-term and full-time, with a view for the right candidate to turn permanent.About the role:The role is a full-time opportunity, providing lessons in English and English Literature at all Key Stages, contributing to the school’s promising academic performance. Your lessons will deliver on the National Curriculum and the school’s dedicated teaching framework. Dedicated time for planning and marking is also provided. The school are looking for someone with thorough and up-to-date subject knowledge, good classroom management and a positive approach to teaching and building relationships.The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject. A recognised teaching qualification is a plus.
• Have recent experience teaching in UK Schools
• Be a committed team player
• Proven track record of high attainment in results
• Be confident and engaging when delivering lesson content
• Have strong classroom management and rapport-building skills
• Enthusiastic in contributing to the wider school community in and out of the classroom
