Job Description

The Finance Chief of Staff will support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in the operational aspects of the role, as well as lead an array of initiatives and projects of strategic financial importance. The overall objective of this position is to design frameworks to better budget and monitor financial performance and maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of financial operations.

You will work closely with various financial leaders including the Deputy CFO, Head of Controlling, Head of National Service Centres and Shared Service Centres, and other functional leaders as needed.

The Finance Chief of Staff will follow up and advise on strategic programmes, establish goals, set major milestones, and track progress to inform the CFO. You will ensure deadlines are respected with the highest quality delivered, evaluate project performance against goals and take necessary actions to address deviations.

OBJECTIVES:

More specifically, examples of projects may include:

  • Oversee the development and execution of financial policies to support key objectives;
  • Analyse and define improvement opportunities for, and digitalise finance processes to improve, the services delivered to the Eurofins companies and other core functions (quality, cost, speed and effectiveness);
  • More generally, participate in or lead other projects in for corporate support departments (HR, procurement, IT…) as and if needed;
  • Play a key role in the maintenance of succession planning efforts and training plans within your scope.

Qualifications

Profile description:

  • A minimum of 3 years of successful experience in a top strategy consulting and/or audit/transaction services firm;
  • Strong project management skills and experience in leading finance transformation projects, strategic missions, M&A sourcing and/or integration, or finance systems deployment;
  • Experience working in an international environment in fast-moving companies;
  • Hands-on change management experience.
