Responsibilities:The Finance Manager, Reporting and Control plays a pivotal role in accounting, financial reporting, cash flow analysis, and business partnering. In this position, you will drive process improvements, maintain financial compliance, and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders. Additionally, you will lead a team of three, providing guidance and support to ensure operational excellence. Your primary responsibility is to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting for PepsiCo Beverages Canada. With a strong understanding of accounting, financial reporting, and fixed asset processes, you will enhance process efficiencies and implement effective controls to mitigate financial risk.As a proven leader with excellent communication skills, you will collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment and driving strategic financial initiatives.The role will report to the Director of PBNA Financial Reporting and responsibilities include:

  • Periodic and Daily Reporting:
  • Review of unwinds for cash flow reporting.
  • Review and completion of Balance Sheet and supporting schedules for submission to PBNA Sector.
  • Support and oversee Lease Accounting and Fixed Asset reporting for Canada Beverages.
  • Ensure strong internal controls, in compliance with sox, and support regular testing.
  • Support Period close reporting requirements such as Hedging, Restructuring, Factoring, and various financial reporting transactions in adherence to US GAAP.
  • Quarterly Reporting:
  • Lead and coordinate Canada Beverage quarterly Balance sheets Reviews with Control team.
  • Prepare and support Sr. Director with Canada quarterly review and sign off of our Financial statements including Lease disclosures, SAB 108 reporting, contractual commitment submissions, and updates and coordination of Canada Representation Letter.
  • Ad Hoc Projects/Research:
  • Assist and support team in providing support for Corporate Tax team on a quarterly, annual and adhoc basis for CFRP, and various audits.
  • Cross coordination with other teams (FP&A, PBNA Sector, Corporate, Foods Canada Control teams).
  • Understanding of, and ability to interpret and apply, US GAAP requirements.

Qualifications:Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Experience in financial accounting with some public accounting experience
  • CPA-CA Mandatory

Work Experience:

  • 6-8 years of progressive responsibility, ideally with supervisory experience

  • Ability to function effectively in a team environment and influence/gain the cooperation of individuals across the organization
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of management and tell a ‘story’ based on findings
  • Results-oriented with ability to initiate and lead projects to completion
  • Innovative thinker with a focus on continuous process improvement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to quickly learn various in-house software applications
  • Experience with HFM and SAP preferred
